We have a lot of important stuff in this week’s newsletter, so please make sure to read it all.
From Jeannie Lewis: Team ATX is moving to Quickbooks as our accounting software. Unfortunately, this means that I will need to get your credit card information again. For your security, please do not text or email me your info, but you can call me at 512-826-3410, Tuesday, 5/14, through Friday, 5/17, between 5:00-8:30pm. I will be available to take your call and info. I will also be at team practices Wednesday, 5/15, at NARG, and Thursday, 5/16, at CRUX, between 6:15 and 7:15 if you would like to give me your info in person. We need to have everyone's info by Friday, 5/24, so that we can have everything set up for the next billing cycle.
Thanks in advance for helping with this.
From Coach John
It’s Regionals Week! Time for all of your hard training all season to pay off.
Eat well, sleep well, hydrate
Stay safe, be smart, don't get hurt
Double check that you have all of your stuff before leaving for Houston: harness, shoes, chalk bag, water bottle, snacks, and stuff to do in isolation
Don't be late to isolation!
I will send an email out on Thursday with all the specific times that I would like for everyone to check into isolation
We are still desperately short of volunteers for Regionals. These events are volunteer driven, and Team ATX needs to provide its share of people. If you have a kid climbing, please sign up for a shift. If you have any questions about what a job entails, contact Heather O'Keeffe Gardner. We'll do our best to make sure every parent gets to see their kid climb. You can sign up here.
We have been hard at work revamping the team website, including the calendar page. Take a look at teamatxclimbing.org, and let us know if you see any mistakes or have ideas for things to add. One feature we want to start updating is the team blog. We’ll be looking for guest posts from teammates as well as pictures from events and competitions. Want to contribute something? Send it to Heather O’Keeffe Gardner.
Team ATX has multiple summer camps and training trips scheduled throughout the summer. Everything is listed on the calendar page of the team website. These are great opportunities for your climbers to get in extra training time in preparation for the coming bouldering season.
As always, thanks for your help and support. We couldn't do this without you.
